Protect yourself and those around you!
Dear patients,
We all know that we are going through a period of an outbreak of coronavirus. In the context of taking measures to prevent the transmission of coronavirus, we would like to inform you about the precautionary measures we take in our dental practice for the prophylaxis of those who visit us.
All cleaning, disinfection and sterilization protocols are strictly followed in the dental office. The packaging of sterilized instruments is designed to prevent microorganisms from entering the packaging and allow aseptic removal. At each visit the packaging is opened under aseptic conditions ensuring the microbial barrier, which guarantees sterility until the moment of use of the materials. In addition, we would like to ask for everyone's cooperation in implementing the following emergency measures to prevent the transmission of coronavirus. Protect yourself and those around you! Basic protective measures against the new coronavirus from the World Health Organization. Stay up to date on the latest information on the COVID-19 outbreak, available on the WHO website and through national and local public health. Take care of your health and protect others by doing the following:
- Wash your hands often Clean your hands by hand with alcohol, rub them with your hand or wash them with soap and water. Washing your hands with soap and water or alcohol hand rub kills viruses that may be on your hands.
- Maintain social distance: keep at least 1 metre (3 feet) between you and anyone who is coughing or sneezing. When someone coughs or sneezes spray small droplets of fluid from their nose or mouth that may contain virus. If you are too close, you can breathe in the droplets, including the COVID-19 virus.
- Avoid hand contact with eyes, nose and mouth.Hands touch many surfaces and can carry the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth. From there, the virus can enter your body and can make you sick.
- Make sure that you and the people around you follow good respiratory hygiene. This means covering your mouth and nose with a bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then immediately discard the used paper.
When to use a mask:
- If you are healthy, you only need to wear a mask if you are caring for a person with a suspected 2019-nCoV infection.
- Wear a mask if you cough or sneeze. Masks are only effective when used in conjunction with frequent cleansing with
hand scrubbing by hand or with soap and water. - If you wear a mask, then you need to know how to use and dispose of it properly.
How to put on, use, remove and throw away a mask:
- Before removing a mask, clean hands by rubbing hands with alcohol or soap and water. Cover your mouth and nose with a mask and make sure there are no gaps between your face and the mask. Avoid touching the mask while using it; if you do, clean your hands with an alcohol-based or soap and water-based hand scrub. Replace the mask with a new one when it is wet and do not reuse disposable masks. To remove the mask: remove the mask from the back (do not touch the front of the mask). Dispose of the mask immediately in a closed trash can. Clean hands by rubbing hands with alcohol or washing with soap and water.
