Dear patients,
It is known to all of us that we are going through a period of an upsurge in cases of coronaia. In the context of measures to prevent the transmission of coronavirus, we would like to inform you about preventive measures we take in the dental office for the precaution of those who visit us. In the dental office we strictly follow all cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation protocols. The packaging of sterilized instruments is designed to prevent the entry of micro-organisms into the packaging and allow aseptic removal. At each visit, the packaging is opened under aseptic conditions ensuring the microbial barrier, which guarantees sterility until the moment of use of the materials. In addition, we would like to ask you for your cooperation for the implementation of the following emergency prevention measures of coronavirus transmission. Protect yourself and those around you! Basic protective measures against the new coronavirus from the World Health Organization. Stay up to date with the latest information on the outbreak COVID-19, available on the WHO website and through national and local public health.
Look after your health and protect others by doing the following:
- Wash your hands often. Clean your hands by hand with alcohol, rub them with their hand or wash them with soap and water. Washing your hands with soap and water or alcohol hand rub kills viruses that may be on your hands.
- Maintain social detachment: keep at least 1 metre (3 feet) between you and anyone who coughs or sneezes. When someone coughs or sneezes spray small droplets of fluid from their nose or mouth that may contain a virus. If you are too close, you can breathe in the droplets, including the COVID-19 virus.
- Avoid hand contact with eyes, nose and mouth. Hands touch many surfaces and can carry the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth. From there, the virus can enter your body and can make you sick. Make sure you and the people around you follow good respiratory hygiene. This means covering your mouth and nose with a bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then immediately discard the used paper.
When to use a mask :
- If you are healthy, you need to wear a mask only if you are caring for a person with suspected Covid-19 infection. Wear a mask if you cough or sneeze.
- The masks are effective only when used in combination with frequent cleaning by hand scrubbing by hand or with soap and water.
- If you wear a mask, then you need to know how to use it and dispose of it properly.
How to put on, use, remove and throw away a mask
- Before removing a mask, clean hands by rubbing hands with alcohol or soap and water.
- Cover your mouth and nose with a mask and make sure there are no gaps between your face and the mask.
- Avoid touching the mask while using it; if you do, clean your hands with alcohol-based lint or soap and water.
- Replace the mask with a new one when it is wet and do not reuse disposable masks.
To remove the mask:
- Remove it from the back (do not touch the front of the mask).
- Dispose of the mask immediately in a closed waste bin. Clean hands by rubbing hands with alcohol or washing with soap and water.
When should someone be tested for COVID-19?
- If it has : Acute respiratory infection (sudden onset of illness, with at least one of the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath), with or without the need for hospitalisation and
- At least one of the following epidemiological criteria, within the last 14 days before the onset of symptoms:
- Close contact with a suspected or confirmed case of infection with the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus; or
- Travel history in SARS-CoV-2 affected areas based on current epidemiological data
Any suspected case should undergo laboratory testing for SARS-CoV-2 immediately. In this case, it is recommended to contact EODY tel:210.52.12.054 and not to visit a health care provider without prior notification of EODY.
