5 TRAVEL TIPS FOR YOUR TEETH

Summer is here and we are all planning our holidays! If you can, plan your next visit to the dentist Before from your trip. Have a thorough examination to identify any problems before they happen. This will give you peace of mind and your dentist will have the most up-to-date information about your teeth, including x-rays.

1. In case of emergency...

Have your dentist's contact details on your mobile phone or keep a business card in your wallet. In fact, most dental emergencies can be resolved over the phone. As a patient, it's hard to know the difference between one condition that needs to be addressed immediately and another that can wait until you're back.

2. Forgot your toothbrush?

Sunscreen? Check. Phone charger? Check. Toothbrush? Oh. If you find yourself temporarily without a toothbrush, you can rinse vigorously with plenty of water to remove some of the bacteria that is causing damage to your teeth. You could also put some toothpaste on the tip of your finger. When you finally get to the nearest drugstore, look for a toothbrush suitable for your gums.

3. Correct toothbrush transportation

Keeping your toothbrush clean and out of contact with other things is very important. A bag keeps your toothbrush separate from all your other luggage.

4. Sugar-free chewing gum

Sugar-free chewing gum can help relieve ear pressure during a flight. Research shows that chewing unsweetened gum for 20 minutes after a meal can help prevent cavities. This is because saliva flows, which helps remove cavity-causing bacteria.

5. Get back into a routine after your trip

If you leave brushing and flossing aside for a while or enjoy too many sweets while on holiday, don't feel guilty. Just go back to your normal twice-a-day brushing and flossing routine for two minutes when you get home.

Happy summer to all!!!!!!
